I have two 5k’s coming up in the next month and I’m registered for a 10k in October and I have a confession. I have not run since last fall!! YIKES!! Time to get busy!!
I’ve been wanting to start running again this season and have been doing an awful lot of thinking about running this season….but, truth be told, I’m a fair weather runner. I don’t do cold, snow, sleet or rain. This winter has been so long in New England and our Spring hasn’t been so great either. It’s been really easy to put it off.
On top of that-I don’t have a gym membership … so I just had NOT started my training. Until today, that is.
I have another confession- I almost chickened out today too! I slept late, felt unmotivated when I got up and when I took the dogs for their walk I realized how windy and cloudy it was. I almost bagged it. Then I remembered this image.
And of course -NIKE’s “Just Do It”… Thank you NIKE- I did it!!
I dusted off my couch to 10k app, pulled up my favorite itunes playlist and I let those endorphins fly. Man o’ man did that feel good!! Total attitude adjustment. Something about the combo of the sun and my favorite music- I was all but dancing down the street. So what have you been doing a lot of thinking about? What is that one thing that you should Just Do? I hope this message inspires you to Do It. Whatever it is- just take one step forward and do it.
