Why do we have it and how the hell do we get rid of it? If you’ve been asking yourself this too -here’s the skinny.
First – Let’s talk about fat cells. They’re actually pretty important and they help us in many ways.
They protect our vital organs, they keep us warm with insulation, they help with hormone production and signaling, they help to fuel our physical activity and protect us from the contaminants we take in. The key is to not have EXCESS.
So what do we do to get rid of the cellulite?
Some folks think that they can get away with doing a detox or a cleanse. Unfortunately- that just won’t cut it. You can’t follow a detox for 7 days and think that you’re cellulite will magically disappear. Not happening.
You need to make changes that you can incorporate as a lifestyle. The three main things you need to do are:
- Reduce Inflammation
- Balance Hormones
Great – and exactly how do we reduce inflammation?
Well…I have a system for that, but let’s take into consideration everything you are exposed to – from what we put on our skin, to what we breathe in throughout the environment to the food and drinks we consume.
Things that can cause inflammation:
- Certain Fragrance
- Refined foods
All of these things can contribute to inflammation and to your fat cells swelling up.
So what are some things we can we do to reduce the inflammation?
- Improve the lymphatic system
- Move more
- Pay attention to the food we eat
- Strength Train
I know that is top level- but here’s the thing. I know not everyone is ready to overhaul their life completely and that’s ok. I totally get it!! The first step is awareness. Eventually as your desire grows you will start to weed out the sources from your body. For those that are ready for detailed attention to this your next step is to book a consultation with me to really start to identify what is going on with YOU.
For those that are just looking for a few tips- here’s a few things you can do today to start to reduce inflammation:
- Eat more green leafy vegetables
- Drink more water
- Supplement with ingredients like turmeric, milk thistle, omega’s and ginger.
This will start to reduce the inflammation and will alert your hormones to start working better. This alone will not balance your hormones 100%, but it will be a good start.
Your next step will be to take measures to identify and correct any hormonal balances in your body. That combined with adding in quality protein and strength training and the fat cells will start to shrink, the fibers on top of them will relax and your skin will start to smooth out.
I hope these tips helped you!
